Inclusive and accessible education is a priority for Firestone Liberia. The company operates 23 schools at no cost to company associates or their families. As one of the largest privately-operated school systems in Liberia, Firestone Liberia employs more than 250 educators and administrators and enrolls approximately 9,000 students yearly. Additionally, the company invests approximately USD $150,000 annually to provide scholarships for higher education opportunities for both teammates’ dependents and for qualifying students from around the country.

Inclusive and accessible education is a priority for Firestone Natural Rubber. Currently, the company operates 23 schools throughout the concession area, including 14 elementary schools, one dedicated Kindergarten school, seven junior high schools, and one senior high school. This school system, which employs more than 250 teachers and administrators and enrolls approximately 9,000 students every year, is the largest concession-operated school system in Liberia.

Scholarship Programs

Firestone Natural Rubber invests approximately USD $150,000 annually to provide scholarships for higher education opportunities to qualified Liberian students from across the country. A significant number of students who have benefited from the Firestone Natural Rubber scholarship program graduated with honors, many of whom are the dependents of Firestone Natural Rubber teammates and are now employed in Liberia and internationally.
